Suplas is an agricultural irrigation brand developed with the long-established engineering, production, and R&D experience of Akplas, operating in the sector since 1989.
Within the scope of the agreement, Turkey will receive grant support amounting to 222.3 million Euro. The grant agreement signed between the Republic of Turkey and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development was published in the official Resmi gazete yayımlandı. Under the Turkey Irrigation Modernization Project, transformation investments will be carried out for five selected irrigation systems covering 24,050 land parcels and a total area of 71,195 hectares. The project includes the conversion of open canal systems located in Antalya, Kartalkaya, Ereğli – İvriz, Alaşehir, Alaşehir, and Uzunlu regions into closed and pressurized irrigation networks.
This initiative also aims to contribute to strengthening the institutional competencies of the Irrigation Unions (IU). In addition, to support the development of next-generation irrigation models, a pilot project based on the use of solar-powered underground water resources will also be included in the financing plan. The program further targets supporting exemplary implementations that utilize underground water sources powered by solar energy.
