Suplas is an agricultural irrigation brand developed with the long-established engineering, production, and R&D experience of Akplas, operating in the sector since 1989.
Founded in 1989 as a family company with 4 partners under the title ILGIN AKIN OTO KALORİFER VE OTO YEDEK PARÇA İMALAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, our company entered commercial life by manufacturing automotive cabin heaters. In 1994, it strengthened its corporate identity by changing its name to AKPLAS ILGIN AKIN PLASTİK SAN. VE TİC. PLASTİK SAN. TİC. A.Ş and started production of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sprinkler irrigation fittings with a capacity of 100 tons per year. In 1995, production of clamped and latch-lock sprinkler irrigation pipes and all irrigation system equipment was also added to the portfolio. By 2004, Akplas increased its production capacity to 40 tons per day and reached farmers throughout Türkiye through a network of more than 70 dealers. Today, Suplas continues to serve producers as a brand of Akplas focused on agricultural irrigation.
Suplas is the field-oriented agricultural irrigation brand that represents the engineering and R&D heritage of Akplas. The brand manufactures pipe systems and irrigation solutions that provide stable water distribution, optimized resource use, high durability for sloped and open field conditions, labor efficiency and low operational costs. In 14 June 2007, the company updated its corporate title to AKPLAS PLASTİK SAN. TİC. PLASTİK SAN. TİC. A.Ş, and in 6 November 2007, it continued its operations as AKPLAS PLASTİK SAN. TİC. A.Ş. As of 2 January 2019, Suplas production officially began at the new manufacturing plant established across Zaferiye Neighborhood in Ilgın, Konya, with 12,200 m² indoor area, 76,800 m² total land, 18 extruders and 23 injection molding machines. This facility continues to contribute to national agricultural irrigation while providing employment for more than 150 people.
